Thomas Jefferson Middle School Announcements

1) Birthdays Today – March 3rd…Shamar Thornton.
2) Tomorrow, March 4th, is our after school activity/dance event (2:30-4:30 pm.). The cost is $3 with money going to the Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City. Concessions will be available. Remember, if you have had 3 or more referrals OR have had an in-school/out-of-school suspension, you are not able to attend.
3) Please pick up any artwork from last trimester in the art room by Friday, March 4th.
4) Start saving your pop tabs Hillhawks! Starting on March 7th we will be collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Bring in your pop tabs to your circle teacher for a school-wide service project for an opportunity to win a pizza party for your circle group.
5) Are there any 6th, 7th and 8th Grade students interested in cheerleading? Join the Hempstead Cheerleaders on Monday, March 7th from 4:40-8:30 for their cheer camp. Learn cheers, dance, stunting and tumbling. Register online at https://hempsteadcheer.dbqschoolscamps.com . If you have any questions, feel free to see Ms. Snitkey in the 7th grade hallway.
6) The school Battle of the Books competition will be held next Tuesday, March 8th. The winners of the battle will move on to the district battle in April. Good luck to all the battle teams!
7) LEAP for today…Homework Help, Yoga with Challenge to Change, Gaming Unplugged, Karaoke Fun & Vocal Coaching, Wonderful World of Recipes. No LEAP on Friday, it is the School Activity/Dance Event.
8) All 6th grade boys and girls…You have received an email from Mrs. Haverland regarding basketball sign up. Basketball will run from Monday, March 7th to Friday, March 25th. No basketball practice during the week of Spring Break.
