1) Birthdays Today – May 2…Kaiden Kohler, Marcus Gibson.

2) Congratulations Gracie Federonich, Stacy Montelius, Alexis Luetzelschwab and Jeannie Jasper. They are our 8th grade Battle of the Books team and the took 1st place! They beat out teams from Washington, Roosevel and Mazzuchelli. Way to go!!!

3) Monday message for this week is a simple one…If you can be anything in life, why not “BE KIND”? It’s really not that hard to be kind to others. To be kind costs absolutely nothing, you don’t need to buy expensive gifts. Even the little things like saying please and thank you have a big impact.

4) In the month of May students who have 2, or fewer, referrals and no suspensions will get a treat at the end of the month. We want to celebrate you and your good behavior!

5) Reminder…Map – Reading test will be tomorrow, May 3rd and the Math test will be on Thursday, May 5th. Be sure to get plenty of sleep, eat a good breakfast, and get to school on time.

6) The theme for this Wednesday is Star Wars / Superheroes (Please no props – ie. Lightsabers, ray guns, shields, etc.)

7) Sports Today – Girls Track & Field Meet…Roosevelt hosts Jefferson, Mazzuchelli and Drexler at Hempstead beginning at 4:30 p.m.
