Thomas Jefferson Middle School Announcements

Tuesday, September 13, 2022 – Day A

1) Wish Maria Kluga and Courtney Simson a happy birthday today.

2) Birthdays Today…September 13th…Emmett Fern.

3) 6th grade boys track will start today, September 13th. Girls will have practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and boys will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Track boys should meet in room 223 (Mrs. Steepleton’s room) after school.

4) Also coming up is our PBIS activity: Lunch on the Lawn. It is planned for Wednesday, September 28th. I will be grilling hotdogs for all who want to join us for a picnic. The cost is only 10 Hills Bills. This includes not only lunch outside but also activity time outside. If you would like to participate, please pay your success teacher no later than Wednesday, September 14th.

5) Sports Today – 7th & 8th Grade Football…Jefferson vs. Washington at Washington beginning at 4:15 p.m.

6) LEAP TODAY…Robotics Club, Chess Club, Homework Help.

7) Reminder…The activity bus comes around 4:10 by the back gym doors.

8) Choir begins today for 7th and 8th grade students.

1) Birthdays Today…September 12th…Conner Lahey.

2) 6th grade girls track starts today and the boys will start tomorrow, September 13th. Girls will have practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and boys will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Track girls should meet in room 223 (Mrs. Steepleton’s room) after school.

3) All 7th and 8th graders involved in the new robotics club: First meeting is today from 2:30-4:30. Please meet in LRC right after school.

4) Also coming up is our PBIS activity: Lunch on the Lawn. It is planned for Wednesday, September 28th. I will be grilling hotdogs for all who want to join us for a picnic. The cost is only 10 Hills Bills. This includes not only lunch outside but also activity time outside. If you would like to participate, please pay your success teacher no later than Wednesday, September 14th.

2) Sign up today for 7th & 8th graders interested in joining choir. 7th and 8th grade students will meet in the Music Room at 7:40 a.m.

Wednesday, September 7, 2022 – Day A

1) Birthdays Today…September 7th…Anyiah Berry.

2) Today during lunch, I’ll meet you in the cafeteria with special treats for those students who sold 3 or more cards. Also, the top 3 Success Times after our first turn-in are: 3rd Place-Mr. McMullen with 16; 2nd Place- Mrs. Olson with 23 and in 1st Place-Ms. Holm’s with 29. Our next turn-in is Thursday. Let’s see if Ms. Holm’s class can maintain their lead or if there is going to be another class jumping into the top 3. Remember, the top 2 Success Times and the top 20 sellers will be joining me on the boat cruise in October!

3) Sign up today for 6th graders interested in joining choir. 6th grade students will meet in the Auditorium this morning at 7:40 a.m., 7th and 8th grade students interested in joining the choir will meet in the Music Room tomorrow at 7:40 a.m.

4) Reminder…School pictures will be tomorrow, Thursday, September 8th. If you want to pick up a picture packet, please stop by the main office. Check your school email for more information on how to order pictures online.

Tuesday, September 6, 2022 – Day B

0) Birthdays Today – September 6th…Clayton Lueck, Kierra Lueck.

1) Today is our first turn-in for the fundraiser. All the money raised goes back to the students. From today forward, we will have student turn-in money every Monday and Thursday for the month of September. After the announcements, we ask students who have money to turn in, please come down to the LRC. Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Beatty will be there to receive and record the sales. Students who sell at least 3 cards will get a delicious treat during lunch tomorrow. Students who sell 10 or more will receive multiple tasty treats. Remember, the top 2 Sucess time classes AND the top 20 sellers will be going on the American Lady cruise. Lunch is provided as you cruise around on the Mississippi River. Thursday is our next turn-in. Thank you all for your support!
