2) Next Monday there is a NEW LEAP event called Meals In Minutes! You will learn how to cook for your whole family on a budget, and take home a WHOLE PAN of food to share. Monday you will be making Mexican Lasagna. There are limited spots so check for an email from Ms. Efferding to sign up, or see her in room 222.

3) Sports Today – Jefferson Wrestling Meet…Jefferson vs. Roosevelt vs. Drexler at Drexler beginning at 4 p.m.

Wednesday, November 9, 2022 – Day A

1) Birthdays Today…November 9th…Raelyn Heim, Eric Heim.

2) Thankfulness is a contagious, healthy, positive practice that improves our relationships and helps us feel good. This week, we are challenging each SUCCESS time to create a giant poster celebrating “thankfulness”. We’ll use these as a way to cover our hallways in positivity…and enjoy some fun and friendly competition. On Monday, November 21st, all posters on display will be judged on how well they show thankfulness, neatness, and use of color. The winning SUCCESS time will receive a hot chocolate treat on November 22nd. Supplies will be arriving soon, so start thinking of how your SUCCESS time wants to display the things, people, and ideas you’re thankful for!

2) Reminder it is the school district’s and Jefferson’s expectation that you wear your lanyard and ID while in the building. That is especially true, if you want to wear a hat or hood. Also, with the weather getting cooler, I want to remind everyone that ski mask type head coverings are not to be worn while in the building. If you need a new lanyard and/or ID, please come to the main office.

3) 6th Grade band – Please go to lunch first and then come to band.

Wednesday, October 26, 2022 – Day A

1) Birthdays Today…October 27th…Ianna Strong. October 28th…Maiya Tye. October 30th…Isis Jemison, Shakir Walker, Karma Zirtzman.

2) The book fair is set up and ready for business! They will be open for shopping before school, during success time, and during your library visit. They will also be open during conferences on Wednesday, October 26th and Thursday, October 27th. If you are planning on shopping during the school day, be sure to come to the library with a pass from your teacher. Remember, entries for the pumpkin decorating contest are due by next Wednesday, October 26th.

3) Do you like making Tiktoks? Ever tried stop motion videos? Have a talent that’s hard to show off on stage? We still want you to get the glory. You can submit your video entries for our virtual talent show by November 1st. Entries will be aired on the TVs during lunch, and students will vote for the winners. Contact Mr. McDowell with questions and submissions.

4) Reminder, parent/teacher conferences are today (3:00-8:00) and Thursday (8:00-5:00).

5) Wrestling begins next Monday, October 31st.

3) This week in 7-Mindsets, we will be discussing – “Take a Stand”. You should do what you feel is important to you and your life. When you set a goal for yourself there will always be challenges so you need to make sure that the dream you set for yourself is important to you. Stand up for yourself and what you believe in!
