Wednesday, September 12, 2018 — Day B

• Birthdays Today – September 12^th…No birthdays today.
• 6^th Grade Girls Track will practice today after school.
• LEAP…Tennis will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning through October 11^th. Electronic Music Studio will be on Mondays and Wednesdays through October 3^rd.  Make Paracord Bracelets with the Carnegie-Stout Library on Tuesday, September 18^th.  DOGS! with the Dubuque Humane Society is Tuesday, September 25^th.
• Picture Retake day is Friday, September 14^th.  Staff and students who did not get their pictures taken at Open House need to have their picture taken on Friday.  Picture packets are available if you want to purchase pictures

Tuesday, September 11, 2018 — Day A

• Birthdays Today – September 11^th…Ahmiya Atkins, Ozzie Bakken.
• 6^th Grade Boys Track begins today after school.  Girls will practice Mondays and Wednesdays and boys will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• The LRC will be closed this morning for FAST testing. Please do not send students to the LRC between 7:25-11:00 AM.
• LEAP…Tennis will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning today through October 11^th. • Sports Today – Girls Red Volleyball…Jefferson Red vs. Drexler Black. 7^th grade is at Drexler and 8^th grade is at Jefferson; both games begin at 4 p.m.
• Sports Today – Girls and Boys Cross Country…Cross Country meet at the Soccer Complex beginning at 4:30 p.m.
• Hempstead and Senior High School football teams are inviting all DCSD 8^th grade football players and coaches to be their guests at the intra-city game on Friday, October 5, 2018. Football players and coaches will be admitted free of charge.   Players need to check in with the ticket taker at the East Ticket Gate.  Team members are to wear their game jerseys.  Team members should sit in the Middle School Section on the home side of Dalzell Field.  Please remind all 8^th grade football players to represent their school appropriately during the game(s).  All players and coaches should report to Brent Cook, Amy Hawkins, and Brian Kuhle at 6:30 p.m. at the east end of the track (near the starting line). Teams will be lined up and will walk down the track to be introduced as a group at approximately 6:45 p.m.
• Audubon Playground Hours…1) Playground is closed to public from 8:20 until 3:10. 2) Middle school students picking up siblings are welcome to be on school grounds between 3:10 and 3:12. Families should walk home immediately after gathering without having to be asked by staff to leave.  3) Anyone who is on the playground between 8:20 and 3:10 will considered a safety and security risk to Audubon School and will be dealt with as such.  4)Audubon playground re-opens at 4:00.

• 6^th Grade Girls Track begins today after school.  Girls will practice Mondays and Wednesdays and boys will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• The LRC will be closed tomorrow (9/11) morning for FAST testing. Please do not send students to the LRC between 7:25-11:00 AM.
• There will be no 7^th and 8^th grade choir today. Please stay in your homebase on that day.
