Thursday, January 24, 2019 — Day A

1) Birthdays Today – January 22nd…Trenton Becker. January 23rd…Charla Latdrik.

2) LEAP…Thursday – Line Dancing.

3) Girls Dance will practice today in the Wrestling Room.

4) Sports Today – Jefferson Red Basketball…Jefferson Red vs. Drexler Red. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Drexler; both games begin at 4 p.m.

5) Musical practice today from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

6) Mrs. Meyer’s homebase would like to remind ALL homebases to bring in items for the Humane Society Drive. Remember that many of these items can be found around your house and can be gently used. Items will be collected on Fridays and the last day of the collection will be on February 8th. The homebase that collected the most items will win an ice cream party. Good luck to all!

TWO-HOUR EARLY RELEASE TODAY, JAN. 18ALERT: All schools in the Dubuque Community School District will release two hours early, TODAY, Friday, January 18, due to the approaching winter storm. All district-run afternoon preschool is canceled. All after-school activities and practices are cancelled!

3) Auditions for our school musical, “Guys and Dolls”, will be after school today in the auditorium. The auditions will be in front of several adults involved with the play and consist of listening to each person sing part of a song of his or her choice and read a few lines of dialog. Call backs will be after school on January 10th. Everyone who auditions will be in the play.

4) Leap…Tuesdays, January 15th through January 29th – Kids ‘n Canvas. Wednesdays, January 9th through February 27th – Chess Club. Thursdays, January 10th through January 31st – Ballroom Dancing. Wednesday, January 16th – Valentine Cards for Hospitalized Kids.
