  • Sports Today – Boys Gold Basketball…Jefferson Gold vs. Roosevelt Black. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Roosevelt; both games begin at 4 p.m.
  • Two great games up on the hill last night for 8th grade red basketball. The B team built a big lead in the third quarter by attacking the rim. Roosevelt took a 3 point lead with 30 seconds left. The Hillhawks pressed and stole a victory in the final seconds with some clutch free throws and layups. The A team played their best second and third quarters of the season for a 59-29 victory. Coach Stoltz was very proud of the 2-3 zone defense that led to many fast break points.
  • The correct answer to Mondays Trivia question was “1970’s”. Winner was Shaybria Saddler. Answer to Tuesday’s trivia question was “Dr. Mae C Jemison”. Winner was Taylor Pline.  Thank you for everyone that responded to Monday and Tuesdays questions.

  • Dance/Activity Night is today, February 14th. This is the Loras Dance Marathon dance.  The cost of the dance is $4.00 and Hills Bills cannot be used.  Money made from the dance will go toward the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.  If you have had an out of school or in school suspension or 4 and more referrals, you will not be able to attend.

  • The 8th grade Red Boys basketball played two great games out at Mazzuchelli. Coach Stoltz was very proud of the A Teams suffocating zone defense and the way they attacked the hole on offense. The B team played very unselfishly and every single player has now scored at least one basket on the season. Great crowd turnout on the road and a fun night for the team.
