Monday, January 27, 2020 — Day A

• Birthdays Today – January 24^th…Maggie Tharp, Jeremy Hallahan. January 25^th…Jenaleigh Williams, Matthew Gilles, Amari Gatlin.  January 26^th…Nolan Walbrun.
• 8^th Grade Students…Open House is at Hempstead and Senior High School tonight, January 27^th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
• Attention Musical Cast and Crew: If you would like a t-shirt, the form and money are due to Mrs. Briggs by Thursday, January 30^th at 2:30 p.m. No late forms will be accepted.
• Sports Today – Boys Red Basketball…Jefferson Red vs. Washington White. 7^th grade at Jefferson and 8^th grade at Washington; both games begin at 4 p.m.
• 8th Grade Jefferson Red had a great start to the 2020 season. Both the A and B teams got big wins over Drexler Red in front of the home crowd. Coach Stoltz was proud of his team’s ball movement and unselfish play in both the A and B games.

• 8^th Grade Students…Open House is at Hempstead and Senior High School on Monday, January 27^th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
• Do you believe you are a great leader? Do you want to make Jefferson a better place for everyone? Then come join Student Council. We will have an informational meeting on Friday, January 24th during Success Time in Mr. Tringale’s room (Room 01). Hope to see you there!

• All cast AND crew members need to attend rehearsal today, January 21^st in order to sign the musical T-Shirt. Students not in attendance will NOT have their signatures on this year’s T-Shirt. That’s ALL cast AND crew members which means all students who have any part whatsoever in the musical, either on stage or behind the scenes.
• Sports Today – Boys Basketball…Jefferson Gold vs. Mazzuchelli Blue. 7^th grade at Jefferson and 8^th grade at Mazzuchelli; both games begin at 4 p.m.

• 8^th Grade Students…Open House is at Hempstead and Senior High School on Monday, January 27^th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
• There will be a Battle of the Books meeting today (January 17^th) during Success Time. Please check in with your Success Time teacher for a pass and then come to the library.

• Jefferson Dance/Activity Night is tomorrow, January 17^th. The cost is $4 and hills bills can not be used.  Loras Dance Marathon will be here.  If you have had 4 or more referrals or a suspension, you will not be able to attend the dance.
• The LRC will be closed Periods 2 and 3 today, January 16^th for 6^th grade FAST testing.

• Congratulations to the Special Olympics Crew for their great job in Snow Shoeing. Bryce White placed 3^rd in 100 meter and 4^th in the 200 meter.  Matthew Tupper placed 1^st in both the 100 meter and 200 meter.  Thomas Wilson also placed 1^st in both the 100 meter and 200 meter.

• Kindness Hearts…Hillhawk Helpers are putting sticky notes on random lockers or classroom doors throughout the building. These are called “Kindness Hearts”. Kindness Hearts have a positive message and enough room for the recipient to add another message and pass it on again. Please help encourage kindness on the Hill!
