  • Birthdays Today – January 9th…No birthdays today.
  • 8th Grade Students…Open House is at Hempstead and Senior High School on Monday, January 27th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
  • The next D.A.R.E. Ski and Snowboard Night will be Friday, January 10th.
  • If you are interested in being on the crew for our musical, you need to do 2 things: 1) Submit an application due today, January 9th and 2) Attend the after school meeting on Monday, January 13th at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  Go to the library to pick up an application. No late applications with be accepted. Applications are due Thursday, January 9th to Mrs. Duggan or Ms. Hunter.  You must attend the January 13th No exceptions!
  • City of Dubuque Leisure Services is planning for the future of Comiskey Park and needs your input to make it a success! Help re-imagine Comiskey Park tonight, January 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Audubon Elementary.
  • Belin-Blank permission forms are due back to the main office by the end of the day on January 13th.   If you have questions, please see Ms. Weber.
  • Kindness Hearts…Hillhawk Helpers are putting sticky notes on random lockers or classroom doors throughout the building. These are called “Kindness Hearts”. Kindness Hearts have a positive message and enough room for the recipient to add another message and pass it on again. Please help encourage kindness on the Hill!

  • If you want to be on the Crew for The Lion King, you need to wait until January. Listen for an announcement January.
  • While you are on Winter Break be saving any pop tabs that you may get over the break! We will be having our pop tab contest again this Spring by our circle groups. Remember both staff and students can participate.

  • Call Backs for The Lion King Jr. will be after school today, December 17th. Check the auditorium door this morning to see if you are called back. If you are NOT called back you are still in the show. The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, December 18th from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium. This rehearsal is only for the CAST and NOT the crew.
