Thomas Jefferson Middle School Announcements

Monday, December 16, 2019 — Day B

• Birthdays Today – December 16^th…No birthdays today.
• Call Backs for The Lion King Jr. will be after school on Tuesday, December 17^th. Check the auditorium door on Tuesday to see if you are called back. If you are NOT called back you are still in the show. The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, December 18^th from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium. This rehearsal is only for the CAST and NOT the crew.
• LEAP…Homework Help Monday through Friday after school. Monday, December 16^th…Honor Choir.  Tuesday, December 17^th…Science Quizbowl.
• 7^th/8^th Girls Dance and 7^th/8^th Boys Basketball will begin on January 2^nd. Students must have physicals on file in the main office to participate.
• The first D.A.R.E. Ski and Snowboard Night will be on Friday, December 20^th. Please check your emails for the pricing and times.
• Hillhawk Helpers will be holding a PJ day on January 2^nd. We are holding this event for free.  We are hoping this will give us something to look forward when returning to school from break.  A couple rules will apply.  1) PJ’s have to be school appropriate.  2) No slippers may be worn.  We hope all will participate in this event.
• Sports Today – Wrestling…Wrestling Meet – Jefferson vs. Mazzuchelli vs. Roosevelt vs. Washington at Wahlert beginning at 4 p.m.

• The musical this year is The Lion King. Auditions to be in the cast are today, December 13^th after school. Please see Mrs. Duggan if you have questions.

  In Science Quizbowl, students will study and learn additional science and math concepts and participate in a buzzer style science trivia question/answer sessions in preparation for the event in Ames. Students should expect to spend additional time outside of this LEAP activity studying.
