2) LEAP this week. Homework Help everyday starting at 2:30. Wednesday, December 16th…Archery, Christmas/Winter Mason Jars, Gym Games and Spanish Club. Thursday, December 17th…Art Club, Archery, Gym Games, and Christmas/Winter Mason Jars. Friday, December 18th…Gym Games.
3) Our school wide community service fundraiser for Hillcrest Residential Youth Facility sponsored by the iJAG class is in full swing. Today and everyday during success time till the 18th you can bring in loose change and someone from iJAG will be around to collect it.
4) Remember this is spirit week! Today is Hat/Hood Day.
5) Girls in grades 6-8 are invited to do some basketball skill work at Hempstead completely free! The dates and times are as follows: Tuesday, December 29 – 12:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30 – 12:00-1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31 – 12:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2 – 12:00-1:00 p.m. Players will be required to wear masks the whole time when participating. There will be basketballs that will be sanitized before and after the hour.
6) 7th and 8th grade students…Please check your emails to sign up for Dance and Boys’ Basketball.
7) Well, the weather outside maybe a little chilly. However, next week, the PBIS team wants to give students a chance to warm up a little inside. By next Monday or Tuesday, students will need to sign up with their house teachers and pay 10 Hills Bills to have a cup of hot cocoa and some choices to stir into their cocoa delivered to their class. Please see your teachers if you have any questions.
8) Another opportunity to use your Hills Bills will be during your lunch times next week. On Monday, December 21st and Tuesday, December 22nd, bring your Hills Bills to lunch to spin the wheel. There will be different types of prizes on the wheel to win. The cost to spin the wheel is 5 Hills Bills per spin. There will be a space on the wheel to win additional Hills Bills as well as other prizes. Come next Monday or Tuesday to lunch to play Spin it to Win it….
