Thomas Jefferson Middle School Announcements

Tuesday, December 13, 2022 – Day B

1) Birthdays Today…December 13th…Libby Hughes, Ty Hughes, Anessa Franklin, Robert Ludovissy.

2) The musical Jefferson is performing in the Spring is “Godspell”. We will be holding auditions on Wednesday (12/14) and Thursday (12/15) right after school 2:30-4:00 p.m. 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are welcome to try out. If interested, please make arrangements so you can stay after school to attend one of the auditions.

3) Our first Jefferson dance/activity social is happening Friday, December 16th. It will begin right after school at 2:30 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Please know that in order to attend, students must have 3 or fewer referrals since the start of the school year and no suspensions. The cost of the dance is $2 and we will be selling wristbands during your lunchtime next Friday.

4) Please check your emails for the details of the first DARE Ski/Snowboard event coming up on December 30th.

5) Sports Today – Jefferson Wrestling Meet…Jefferson vs. Drexler vs. Roosevelt at Roosevelt beginning at 4 p.m.

6) Have you ever been interested in student council? Do you know what student council does? If these are things that interest you, we will be forming a student council at Jefferson! During circles today, you will do a student council circle to learn more about what student council is and does, along with how to run for student council. We want to get students elected before we leave for winter break, so when we return, we can jump right into it! There will be more specific details on when you will run for the council soon, but if you have any questions after your circle, please reach out to Mr. Shults or Mrs. Biros!

3) Today, we will have Jefferson’s first Trivia Day! We will be following an alternate schedule.

4) New Leap Activity starts tonight! Make and Take Activities will meet today (11/30) and on every 2nd/4th Wednesdays of the month. Each time we meet students will get to make a project and take it home with them! Today’s project will be bead bracelets. This is a great opportunity to make something for yourself or to give to a family member or friend! Hope to see you there!
