2) November is #NationalFamilyLiteracyMonth. Family literacy describes parents and children learning together. To celebrate National Family Literacy Month, Carnegie Stout Library is giving away FREE Storytime Kits for families with preschool-aged children and FREE Chapter Book Bundles for families with young readers. Stop by the Children’s Desk this month to get yours, available while supplies last.

3)  In response to the Governor’s most recent Public Health Disaster proclamation the Dubuque Community School District is suspending ALL middle school extracurricular activities until further notice. This includes girls basketball, wrestling, and LEAP programming.

The Dubuque Community School District has released draft calendars for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years.

The online feedback form for these draft calendars is now closed.

The district Board of Education will host a public hearing about the calendar on Monday, December 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the Forum, 2300 Chaney Road.
